Collaborative Push for Climate Action: Stakeholders’ Consultation on Ecolabelling Criteria of Refrigerators and Freezers

As part of the Second Phase of the Cool Contributions Fighting Climate Change (C4II) Project, stakeholders recently gathered to participate in the revision of ecolabelling criteria for refrigerators and freezers. This initiative aims to align with Republic Act 11285 and the Philippine Energy Labeling Program (PELP), supporting the government’s mission to enforce Minimum Energy Performance Standards (MEPS) and promote voluntary ecolabels. Through these standards, the C4II project strives to encourage the adoption of energy-efficient, eco-friendly products that help reduce the carbon footprint of refrigeration equipment in the Philippines.
