On November 14, 2024, The Mitsubishi Power Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. Phillippines held an environmental awareness session as part of the company’s Environment Health and Safety (EHS) Month. Led by Mitsubishi Power Philippine Branch Head, Mr. Shinya Ichimaru, this event was conducted to further integrate environmental awareness and concern to its staff and promote environmental responsibility and consciousness within the workplace that aligns with Mitsubishi’s environmental commitment for Net Zero goal of the country. As the company recognizes the impacts of climate change and continuously promotes modern technologies to ensure reliability of power supply while promoting lower carbon options to provide energy for people and the planet.
With continuous partnership with the Philippine Center for Environmental Awareness and Sustainable Development Inc. (PCEPSDI), led by Mr. June Alvarez, President and Executive Director, shared the environmental status of the past, the present, and the future; with how climate issues emerge through time due to intensity of anthropogenic activities. Mr. Alvarez highlighted the importance of cumulative actions to mitigate impacts of climate change and other environmental issues and empowered individuals and Mitsubishi Power’s commitment towards a sustainable future.
Mitsubishi Power was also recognized as one of the sponsors and one of the participating environmental driven companies on Trees 4 Sustainability (T4S) 2024: PUNO ang SOLUSYON ceremonial planting last August 24, 2024 in Siniloan Forest Park, Siniloan Laguna.
