PCEPSDI conducts projects which will be seen as an important marketing instrument to complement laws and regulations for environmentally preferable products and a guide to consumers’ purchasing preferences. With the aim to provide better activities in terms of environmental guidelines. This includes projects for sustainable consumption and production in tourism while also fostering social inclusion and economic development through decent jobs, project that aims to establish low carbon consumption and production in the Philippines and projects that is focused on providing technical assistance in the implementation of its programs.

The Sustainable Diner: A Key Ingredient for Sustainable Tourism


Locally dubbed as Sustainable Diner: A Key Ingredient for Sustainable Tourism, the 3-year project is being spearheaded by the World Wide Fund for Nature- Philippines (WWF-PH) in partnership with the Philippine Center for Environmental Protection and Sustainable Development Inc. and is being funded by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety through its International Climate Initiative (IKI). Transforming Tourism Value Chains


Shifting towards sustainable consumption and production in tourism offers vast opportunities to protect the environment while also fostering social inclusion and economic development through decent jobs. But to truly transform the tourism sector, such a shift needs to happen across the entire value chain, involving all stakeholders, and using a life-cycle approach to making products and services more sustainable. The overarching goal of this project is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and increase resource efficiency in three tourism value chains: food and beverages, accommodation, and, collectively, in meetings, incentives, conferences and events (known as MICE).

Green Public Procurement for Quezon City


Quezon City, an eco-governance administration and the largest city in Metro Manila, is determined to reduce environmental impact. Through the establishment and implementation of a comprehensive Green Public (GPP) Program for Quezon City Local Government that will present and demonstrate an LGU model to promote Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP) in the country. The project is focused on providing technical assistance in the implementation of its GPP Program, and develop this model for other local governments to follow.
